A new type of “FAIL”

The Year 2000

I remember when everyone thought that for some reason the year 2000 would be markedly different. Like, back in maybe 1996 or something, we had to do a creative writing exercise in primary school, and our topic was “What will it be like in the year 2000?” We all wrote about flying cars and The Jetsons kind of vibe. No one predicted terrorism or global recession.

Here is another amusing prediction on the year 2000.

Mudane.

I like that I blog a lot. It doesn’t have to be too interesting. I mean, honestly, who has the time to do important blogs, or to read them? No, silly little blogs is the way. For example:

Last night there was a fly in my room buzzing around. Seeing as I try not to hurt insects in order to make up for being a horrible person, I let him be. But, he woke me up no less than three times during the night because his buzzing was so loud. I was like WTF dude.

I swatted him in the morning. He was still buzzing around and landed on the desk right in front of me. Gagging for it.

Yesterday

Ed and I drove to Hanging Rock, and then went wine tasting, and then when I got home I wrote my first cool tune in a while. Also, on the way home, I bought 5 kilos of potatoes for five dollars off a lonely looking, slow-to-trust farmer. A Good day.

I didn’t even know he took this. Australia is an awesome country. It’s in me.

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Most of the movie was shit, but I’m a sucker for romance, even if it is flogged over the head by rubbish story telling and bad teen acting.

I think this scene is really nice in the film. If you don’t think this image is awesome, I’ll fight you.

That’s the best my camera phone could do. I acutally pissed off patrons taking this photo.

PS- I am not really a fan of the films at all in general.

Dali

Yesterday I went to the Dali exhibition in Melbourne.

There was, among many really cool artworks, a cool movie by disney which was originally planned as a collaboration between Dali and Disney himself. It’s called Destino.

Below is 35 seconds. Poor Quality. Amazing film. Check out some of the other “related videos” of Destino when this vid is finished.

My Room

This pic is another one of those “composite” shots that I’ve done before.

Far from my best work, the size of this image was originally massive  and I simply got sick of tweaking it. I may come back to it and update a much clearer version… but you still get some idea of what my room kind of looks like. Maybe. Although I’m saying that from the perspective of people who DOES know what my room looks like…

sad music

I have this thing, and I’ve only really discovered it recently, but I actually avoid music that evokes intense emotion from me. I can read books that make me sad, watch movies that make me sad, although I tend to avoid those too, but not really… but music that really gets me… I can’t stand listening to it. But to be honest, music that gets me usually has something to do with my past which I may or may not have completely recovered from… but Ed, for example, when at the holiday house the other day, fairly miserable as he was, he just kept putting on sad love song after sad love song, and I had to ask him to stop.  I can’t handle it… I suppose it’s a compliment to the artist if their work gets me in such an accute way as I can’t bear to listen to it… but yeah. There you go. I don’t know why I felt like mentioning this. I guess I should blog about something.
