Hey ya’ll
So I’ve finished my exams at the Gordon. I’m now offically qualified to perform jazz. My year eights were away on camp today, so I had a little free time to do some more on Gordon. I’m going to finish this fucker.
It’s brushed on, and it’s also modelling paint, which means a matte finish. [...]

I think I’ve almost finished the spray painting. The rest is to be done by brush.

Before and after shots of the next phase of my painting. The paint is a “metallic” blue grey car paint. I spent a great deal of time doing all the masking to the point where I thought it warranted a photo. In the left pic, it seems that the paint seems to have a [...]

If it wasn’t so damned hot today I would’ve started the next phase of my painting. But you can’t spray paint on hot days because it semi dries before it hits the surface, resulting in a matted finish which just rubs off. So, at least I’ve taken off the masking tape and you can see [...]

My 3rd blog for the day. I must have a lot on my mind.
Today I used dad’s airbrush to colour Gordon some more. It’s really rather expensive, apparently, but it sure worked really well. Car spray paints (which is what I’d been using for the undercoat and for the orange) have nothing compared to the [...]

I’ve been kind of too busy to do much painting, however, I had a little spare time on the weekend. I went to repco, got some car paint, and here it is. Orange. I’ve masked off some areas, but mostly I’ll just paint over the orange where appropriate. I’m not settled on the color yet. [...]

Well, I’ve finished the undercoating, (but for a small part on the inside of his leg, which you can’t see here).
I felt like playing around in photoshop with this pic. It’s very “hero”.

Though I still have some minor adjustments in the sculpting department, I thought it might be cool to give Gordon an undercoat of paint. This would not only give me a perspective on how gordon’s suit works as a whole, (fixit-scuplt and original plastic) but also highlight some of the imperfections.
Below is my first coat.
There’s [...]

Yes, there’s still more.
I’ve elongated his neck, giving him a longer, more slender feel, which I feel suits Gordon more.
Also, I put his head on. I’ve done some work on his hair and made his goatee. If his face looks like it’s got some horrible skin ailment, it’s actually just some extra fixit-sculpt which I [...]

First of all: wow.
Ok, on to Gordon.
Today, I hacked his neck and added to it with some fixit-scuplt.
I haven’t let it set, and I’m having trouble pushing the head back on without making the neck go all weird. So, I’ll let it set first, and hope I can get it on.
Below is the saw I [...]
